SOAW ending

I was afraid to watch the last eps of Kdrama Scent of a Woman, was afraid my eyes would be swollen from crying.

And I did cry a lot, on ep 14 when Heon Jae told her mom her condition, it was the saddest part for me (coz I can relate!).

But surprisingly after that scene there was no major crying. More of acceptance, understanding and lots of love.

I thought Heon Jae will die on the end, though it is still implied that she would, the story shows her living each day without regret. She was asked by Ji Wook if she would rather not be sick, she said if she isn't she wouldn't have the courage to change herself, to speak up, meet him and let her mom remarry, etc.

The moral of the story is to live without regrets.

Inspired by Heon Jae's bucket list, I am working on one too, not because I am sick but because I don't want to have regrets and we never know what the future brings.

City Hall to Blue House

After so much angst City Hall ended with our beloved mayor Shin Mirae and Assemblyman Jo Gook together without the bitchy Go Hae and meddling BB. Affected much? Yeah. I was really down this last few days because of the eps 17, 18 and 19.

The ending was when Jo Gook proposed to Shin Mirae, with the implied marriage (mostly picture taking) and the campaign trail to Blue House. Blue House is Korean's White House (US) or Malacanang (Philippines).

Finally a happy ending. I can sleep soundly today.

I can't let this opp pass without mentioning Jo Gook's assistant, Ha Soo In or Lee Joon Hyuk in real life. He's the prosecutor in City Hunter (after 2 years). I like both his character in City Hall and City Hunter but of course he much cuter on the first KDrama.

Emotions Overflow

That's the exact term I can describe ep 11 to 15 of City Hall.

I can't really describe my feelings right now so let me go through some pictures.

Funny & Cute

Triumph

Hurt

Love, why do you always have to be complicated?

Currently Watching: City Hall

I was getting bored waiting for new eps for KDramas Protect the Boss, Scent of a Woman and Myung Wol the Spy. We had 4 days Eid holiday so I finished everything up (meaning latest ones). I gave up on ep 2 of JDrama Ikemen Desu Ne, not because I didn’t like it but because it I can’t help but compare it to the original You’re Beautiful and kept on missing Jang Geun Seok. I told myself if this will be the case, might as well watch YAB again for the 3rd or 4th time.

And so I decided to watch the KDrama City Hall instead.

I am on the 10th episode already and I kept on hating Jo Gook (Cha Seung Won), he’s so mean to Shin Mi Rae (Kim Sun Ah).

Jo Gook, how can you be such a user? And Mi Rae, how can you be so stupid?

I must admit though that he looks yummier here than as Dokko Jin in Best Love (but I love his character there!)

Currently Watching: Scent of a Woman

Currently watching and crying.

Huhu, saddest kissing scene ever!

I was hesitant to watch this one, knowing the story will evolve with a six month death sentence. But I adore Kim Sun Ah and curious about Lee Dong Wok.

And indeed starting with ep 1, my tears were not stopping.

I find LDW's acting quite robotic. I don't know if it's what the script requires or his acting style, guess I have to re-watch My Girl. But KSA really delivers, I cry every time she cries. I feel her pain particularly on ep 9 where she told her best friend that she has cancer and is dying. Huhu major crying scene.

I am now waiting for ep11, with Kang Ji Wook learning Lee Yeon Jae's condition.

Oh I also like Dr. Chae Eun Suk's strict-but-softy-on-the-inside character.

KDrama: Scent Of A Woman

I love KimSun Ah, but I can’t get off her Kim Sam Soon image, so seeing her new KDrama: Scent of a Woman is a shocker. She’s so thin, I want her fat!

And another shocker is Lee Dong Wook of My Girl, those chiseled face and body courtesy of Army Duty! No more pretty boy next door image, but I liked him better now.

What I don’t like is the premise of an impending demise, with 6 months to live drama.

I want to watch.

I don’t want to watch.

Such a dilemma.

Kdrama: When It's A Night

I just finished watching this drama.

And I would say it is really interesting.

Even if I'm not into antique/ cultural stuffs, watching this would make you aware of their importance.

And how people would do everything to get hold of these valuables.

The main leads are Kim Sun Ah (aka Kim Sam Soon) and Lee Dong Gun (aka Martin from Lovers in Paris).

Here's my summary

Heo Cho Hee (HCH) was assigned to go undercover at Japan to capture a notorious tomb theif (antique/ cultural treasures) named Kim Bum Sang. Meanwhile Kim Bum Sang (KBS), the professor cum tv antique enthusiast cum lady killer was also there to appraise an artifact. So HCH followed KBS and they got tangled with some yakuza leader. When they returned to Korea, KBS was given a post as Enforcement Team's Consultant where HCH works as manager in the Cultural Theft Unit. So here starts their daily bickering and eventually fell for each other.

But initially HCH is in love with Chief Kang (CK), the good looking head of Criminal Investigation Unit, while the kikay Joo Hyun (JH), also works at Cultural Theft Division thinks both KBS and CK likes her.

HCH's drive to recover these national treasures came from the fact that her father was the one of the infamous tomb thief. And she was hoping that if those were recovered maybe her father would come back.

Also to be noted is the cute brother of HCH, Heo Gyoon (HG) played by Park Ki Wong (stars in Love Marriage) who was actually the Hong Gil Dong/ steals the treasures and return it to the nation.

And my personal assessment

Title: When It's a Night

Cast : Kim Sun Ah as Heo Cho Hee; Lee Dong Gun as Kim Bum Sang

Genre: Romance, Comedy

Total Ep : 17

Kilig Rating : 6/10
(maybe i expected more...but it would definitely be more interesting if they put more intimate/ kilig moments...they were stiff...but being a hopeless romantic kinilig p din ako kahit konti)

Overall Rating : 7/10
(i enjoyed watching it, and i did look forward to the next ep...the story was well thought of...the actors are good...so watching it was not a waste of my precious time...so i recommend it)
