Drama Queen needs to sleep too

I’m having some time off with my KDrama marathon, been busy with my other blogs. I am still watching Protect the Boss but haven’t started anything yet. I just finished with Scent of a Woman, City Hall and Myung Wol the Spy.

I don’t see anything interesting so far, will just lurk on some sites to check any.

I'll use this time to catch up with some sleep. Yawn!

Drama Queen top ranked celebrities and dramas

After 2 years 4 months and 165 posts, here are the top five most blogged about celebrities and dramas. I checked my tags and as I am more inclined to KDramas, all of them are from Korea.

DQ Top Blogged Celebrities
Park Shin Hye – 16
Jung Yong Hwa – 15
Jung Geun Seok – 13
Yoon Eun Hye – 11
Lee Min Ho – 10

DQ Top Blogged Dramas
You’re Beautiful – 14
You’ve Fallen For Me – 10
Myung Wol the Spy- 8
Lie to Me – 7
My Girlfriend is a Gumiho – 7

My personal choice would be Jang Geun Seok and Yoon Eun Hye for Top Celebrities while You’re Beautiful for Top Drama. I know I’m biased. But this is my blog and here I am the Queen – the Drama Queen.

Happy Endings

Oh I love happy endings! That’s why I limit my drama addiction to romantic-comedies aka rom-coms because I don’t want to add drama to my already dramatic life.

I love dramas but I don’t want drama.

What an inconsistency, right?

So with the last 2 weeks, my
May KDrama’s Best Love, Lie to Me and Baby-Faced Beauty ended and given me sweet endings to cherish.

It made me sad for the drama itself to end, I will miss watching the raws, next day recap hunting, and re-watching with eng subs after a few days. My life was that hectic!

I gave myself a few days as breather and now ready to pick new batch of KDrama or TwDramas to watch.

Any suggestions?

I have! Tons of it!

2nd Drama Queen Blogversary!

The Drama Queen turns 2 this May 29!

And so with my other blog It’s Not Always About ME (May 22).

After 118 posts, I still am the Drama Queen who lives and breathes on Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese Dramas. Yes there were times that I am too busy to update but never crossed my mind to stop watching dramas and blogging. I want to share what I love and hate about these dramas.

And as long as there are dramas and I can still watch and type, I think I’ll continue being the Drama Queen Yuuki.

Here’s my very first post here

Drama Queen no more?

Of course NOT!

I am and will forever be a Drama Queen.

I might have deviated for a while from my usual post but I have valid reason for that. And that’s because my other laptop finally gave up. So that means I ended with only one which I use to do other online stuffs and watching online can slow me down. Blah blah blah. I am also guilty of watching American TV seriesone after another like True Blood, Vampire Diaries, How I Met Your Mother, Heroes and House (those are downloaded and supplied to me).

(Viao gave up on me huhuhu)

But I will definitely be back. I have tons of pending KDrama, TwDrama and JDrama on my Watch List.

Come to think of it should I change my subtitle as Addicted to Drama Series? Not just Asian that is. Hmmm…

Btw, YTBC has only 8 more days to go so let’s volt-in all our efforts to its success!

Too much drama

I’m not really into Tagalog movies or drama series because I find it too much.

Life is already too complicated but they tend to overact almost everything. And I don’t need an extra baggage.

Why am I saying this, yesterday I attended a bday party and when I arrived they were watching the movie Miss You Like Crazy of John Lloyd and Bea. I missed the first parts so I have to ask once in a while the background story.

We were all in tears and rooting of course for JL and Bea to be together. And it did happen at the end. Horray!

But it made me think, what if you were the original gf of JL (I forgot her name)? The love, time and effort you made suddenly became null and void. That hurts. Would you still root for them? It was pointed out by a friend that sometimes love was not the only reason why you choose one over the other. Still that would hurt (if he has chosen to be with the girl he’s not in love with). Wow, that IS complicated!

I told you I don’t want to watch these kinds of movies! I tend to over analyze things.

Too much drama indeed.

---

You might be curious because of my contradicting stance - I AM a Drama Queen (my blog says so), but I prefer Korean, Japanese or Taiwanese because they have simpler approach. And I also stay away into too much drama what they call melodrama or tragedy. I prefer light drama or romantic comedy.

Because life itself is a drama.

Otaku Mode

Drama Queen mode sign off. Otaku mode sign on.

Guess that’s the main reason why I was not regularly updating this blog. I was waiting for some dramas to be aired or subbed so for the mean time I amuse myself watching anime and reading manga. I’m usually glued to Animax Asia anime series particularly with Wipeout TV show and Itaden Jump. For the manga I just bought my copy of Skip Beat volumes 16 to 19, while the other shoujo (romantic) manga I just read online. Among my favorites are Kimi ni Todake, Vampire Knights, Dengeki Daisy, Kono Ie de Kimi to, Himitsu no Ai-chan and so much more.

But my Drama Queen hiatus will soon end. I’m definitely be back by April with Le Min Ho’s new Kdrama Personal Taste and I am planning a rerun of You’re Beautiful. I miss Jang Geun Seok! I read somewhere that he will start filming the Korean movie adaptation of Kimi wa Petto, a manga and a JDrama lead by Matsumoto Jun (remember Domyoji Tsukasa of Hana Yori Dango?).

And I am still waiting for subbed episodes of Infernal Lover, a Mainland Chinese Drama of Mike He and his Taiwanese Drama Calling Big Star. I am kinda disappointed with the lack of news about those two series.

So please bear with me, will you?

A new look for the Drama Queen

A super duper generous and talented girlblogger Ritz, gave me this lay-out complete with customized header and set-up support absolutely FREE!

I chance upon her free lay-out contest and intended to join in, unfortunately it was already closed. But still she offered me something else, which I think suited my theme more.

Thanks again Ritz and hope to work with you again!
