Gaksital is a famous manhwa set in the 1930s, during the Japanese occupation. He's an unassuming young man in real life, but when he dons his superhero mask, he fights injustice and rights wrongs during one of the darkest periods of Korea's history…

Currently Watching: Switch Girl

Are you one of us? I mean a switch girl?

I guess most, if not everyone is guilty of putting a mask (not necessarily a make-up) or putting a facade in front of other people. We want others to see our good side, highlight it and keep within ourselves, our family or friends what we are truly made of. I don't think it's technically lying but just putting your best foot forward.

This JDrama is a manga adaptation so it's a lot of non-sense and I actually enjoyed both the manga and drama. Ha! I admit to being a switch girl myself but i need not just an ON and OFF switch, maybe NORTH, SOUTH, EAST and WEST or even 1 to 10. That's how complicated I am.

Here Nika has an OFF and ON switch, while on OFF mode she's an otaku, cheapstake, messy, silly, etc at home. But while on ON mode, she's cute, stylish and proper.

When Arata (the boy she likes) discovered her 2 personalities, that's where all the fun and craziness starts.

Currently Watching: Skip Beat

Now that my work load returned to normal, I can watch and blog about my latest drama addiction which is Skip Beat or also called Extravagant Challenge. I’ve been waiting for this TwDrama adaptation since 2 years back. Initially offered to Ariel Lin and Jerry Yan as Kyoko and Ren, now they have a complete set of line up. I was quite hesitant at first, I have great hopes for this because I am a big fan of the manga and anime. When I saw the initial teasers, I said uh okay. But when I started watching it, I was hooked and begging for more! Initial telecast was Dec 18, 2011 and with one ep a week, it’s still on ep 5 (with English subtitle).

I still have difficulty in their Chinese/ Taiwanese name so I will use the Japanese name ( as in manga and anime) instead

Ivy Chen as Kyoko Mogami
Choi Si Won as Ren Tsuruga
Lee Dong Hae as Sho Fuwa
